GT’s – Bonefish – Permit – Snapper
SEASON: November – April
DURATION: 7 Nights
GROUP SIZE: 8 Guests
Cosmoledo Atoll Seychelles is a stone’s throw away from the World Heritage Site of Aldabra, often described as the Galapagos of the Indian Ocean. The pristine and untouched ecosystem of Cosmoldeo offers wadeable sand flats, beautiful islands, and an incredible lagoon that means ample fishing opportunities. The encounters you’ll experience on Cosmo prove how remote and preserved this magnificent atoll is, all thanks to the minimal pressure on its environment.
Fishing at Cosmoledo Atoll Seychelles
Cosmoledo Atoll, Seychelles, enjoys the reputation of being an explosive saltwater flats fishing experience. Guests will fish enormous white sand flats, lagoon edges, and channels, all ruled by the incomparable Giant Trevally.
Cosmoledo Atoll (Seychelles) is, without doubt, the GT capital of the world but also boasts impressive numbers of big Bonefish, Bluefin Trevally, Bohar Snapper, Barracuda, Milkfish, the ever so frustrating indo-pacific permit and a host of triggerfish species.
The hard white sand, turtle grass, and coral flats separate Cosmoledo from other destinations in the world as an easily wadable destination.
Accommodation on Cosmoledo Atoll Seychelles
The Cosmoledo eco-lodge is all about creative hospitality and understated luxury. The eco-camp provides respite from the harsh environment & blends seamlessly into this unique location. This means you live in luxury without negatively impacting the environment.
Blending into the natural environment, the Eight Eco Pods are equipped with aircon and every modern amenity. Dining is a fantastic mixture of Creole and international food, featuring fresh fish at every opportunity.
Getting to Cosmoledo Atoll Seychelles
Guests are expected to arrive in Mahe the day before the charter flight as any delay on departure will cause the trip to be missed. It is as essential to book return flights the day after your return to Mahe, as once again, any delays may cause guests to miss their international flights.
Groups meet an hour before the scheduled departure time at the IDC hanger terminal. A team from Cosmoledo Atoll Seychelles will meet you after the three-hour flight at either Astove or Assumption Atolls, after which you will be transferred to the mothership. The yacht then departs immediately for the three-hour sail to Cosmoledo Atoll, situated 18 nautical miles away.
On the last evening, the Vessel will sail back to Astove or Assumption, where the IDC charter flight will collect the group for their three-hour flight back to Mahe.
Itinerary
Day 1
Charter flights depart Mahe from the IDC hanger and divert to Alphonse Island before landing at either Astove Atoll or Assumption Atoll 3-hours later. After that, guests will transfer to the Lone Star for the crossing to Cosmoledo. A full briefing & orientation will take place during the crossing.
Day 2 – 6
Breakfast starts the day at 07h30, and guests should be ready to leave at 08h30 for a day on the Cosmoldeo flats. Clients can choose between a packed lunch or lunch back at the lodge. The fishing day ends between 17h30 – 18h00, and all boats return to the Eco Camp.
Day 7
Breakfast starts the day at 07h30, and guests should be ready to leave at 08h30 for a day fishing on the Cosmoldeo flats. Clients choose between a packed lunch or lunch back at the lodge.
