Itinerary
Day 1 (4th Sept) – Arrive in Buenos Aires
Ideally, you would want to land at Ezeiza International Airport (EZE) and explore the city of Buenos Aires on day one, spending the evening in a hotel of your choice. This allows time to get into the swing of the holiday but importantly gives you time to catch the domestic flight AR1798 09.00 – 10.30 between Aeroparque Internacional Jorge Newbery (AEP) domestic airport to Resistencia Airport (RES). This flight allows for the 2hr30 transfer to Parana River Outfitters (PRO) lodge with time to stretch a fly line in the afternoon.
Should you wish to arrive Beunos Aires and leave directly to Resistencia Airport (RES) then the best flight to catch would be the AR1794 AEP – RES 14.30 – 16.00. In this case, all guests will arrive for in time for appetizers and dinner at PRO.
Please note: The transfer time between Ezeiza International Airport (EZE )international airportAeroparque Internacional Jorge Newbery (AEP) is roughly one hour.
Day 2 – 5 (6th to 8th Sept) – 3 full days fishing at PRO
The middle section of the Parana on which you fish at PRO is rich in varied habitats. The diversity makes for an exciting fishery. Wadable sandbar flats provide awesome sight-fishing opportunities for huge cruising fish. Deep cut banks and wooded structure provide classic holding water for trophy Golden Dorado and black-water creeks (tannin colored) and deep channels provide even more exploratory opportunities.
Day 6 (Sept 9th) – Early transfer to Suindá
Guests will leave early for the transfer to Suindá Lodge on the upper part of the Parana River. The drive is 2 hours and 45 minutes. Leaving early allows for a full day of fishing at Suindá Lodge.
Day 7 – 8 (Sept 10th and 11th) – 2 full days at Suindá Lodge
At Suindá Lodge you’ll get to fish a clear-flowing stretch of water where the river borders Paraguay, flanked by jungle expanses on both its edges. You’ll explore this dynamic fishery on 21-foot boats which have been specifically designed for two anglers to fish simultaneously. After the engines are cut, you’ll drift the structure-rich shorelines of the Paraná River, casting to sunken logs, in and around boulders, and across clear sandbars.
Day 9 (Sept 12) – Fly Back Home
We’ll leave early for the return local flight to Buenos Aires and the return international transfer. The morning drive back to RES is approximately 2 hours for the recommended flight: AR1799 10.40 – 12.10 RES AEP.
