Poivre Atoll Seychelles (Liveaboard) lies just short of 300km south of Mahé on the Eastern edge of the Amirantes Bank. The atoll is made up of two smaller islands, Poivre and Île du Sud. Separated by a shallow lagoon that extends all the way back to Ile du Sud during high tide, this destination offers both stunning flats as well as one of the best game fishing areas on the planet.

The Amirantes Trench is a unique draw-care at Poivre Atoll Seychelles. The sheer drop-off, which steps from 60 to 12000 meters in a matter of kilometres, lends itself to rich currents and an abundance of various fish species.

Poivre Atoll Seychelles offers anglers the best of both worlds. With mind-blowing flats to make any fly fishing enthusiast’s toes curl right alongside thrilling Bluewater fishing targeting species like Sailfish, Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna and more.

“The Kennels” is a famous area on Poivre, so-called for the record-breaking sized Dogtooth Tuna one can target here. The current record fish caught is standing at 75 kgs. For the fly fisherman, this Atoll also offers incredible opportunities for targeting species like Bonefish, Indo-Pacific Permit and Giant Trevally on the flats.

Accommodation on Poivre Atoll Seychelles

A’mani is a newly refitted 54ft motor catamaran that caters to affordable combination fishing trips for small groups. She is stable, spacious and more importantly has a two-meter draft that allows her to anchor in calm lea waters.

A’mani offers two guest cabins. Each cabin offers double and single beds in them, two cabins with double beds and two bunk beds in the passage between cabins. There are two communal showers and toilets as well as an additional on-deck shower. Airconditioning is available in all cabins and living areas. This allows guests a chance to relax after a long day’s fishing on the flats.

Passports Everyone traveling to Seychelles must have a passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the end of travel

Visa Requirements UK, US, EU, USSR, and RSA passport holders do not require a visa for entering into Seychelles for vacation purposes.

Entry to Seychelles does not require inoculations. However, you may want to check with your local clinic for recommendations on health precautions for travel to Seychelles.

There is a compulsory fly fishing Conservation Donation of USD 175 per week (USD25 per day).  This is payable in cash at the destination. The package excludes this Conservation Donation. These funds are given to the Island Conservation Society for the preservation of nature in Seychelles.

All guests are required to obtain “From Scene of Accident Medivac Insurance”. Details will be requested prior to arrival on the Island. As such agents cannot assume any financial responsibility for consequences incurred if this has not been obtained.
